Hathaway Developments was founded in 2021 by George Hardcastle MRICS, a professionally qualified real estate developer with 20 years of experience in the property industry.

George began his real estate career at King Sturge LLP (now Jones Lang LaSalle) in the London office. His role later expanded to include a pan-European development remit based in Prague, with a specialist focus on Eastern European commercial development.

Before founding Hathaway, George spent 12 years as the Development Director at a London-based investment and development firm, where he was responsible for originating, securing, pre-letting, financing, and delivering best-in-class mixed-use developments.

In this role, he gained extensive experience as part of a successful team that delivered over 650,000 sq ft of residential and commercial developments with a combined value exceeding £850 million, collaborating with strategic development partners, including, but not limited to Standard Life, Federated Hermes, Bellway Homes, and Whitbread PLC.

In addition to his professional career, George has proudly participated in raising money for Variety, the Children’s Charity Sunshine Coach Appeal. He was invited to join a team of property professionals including Legal & General in completing a challenging trek to Mt Toubkal in Morocco in 2013 and Annapurna Base Camp in Nepal in 2016.
